Sketchfab is a platform to publish, share, discover 3D content. Think of it as the YouTube for 3D content. With a community of creators who have published millions of models, Sketchfb is the largest platform to find immersive and interactive 3D you can re-use in your course. 3D models on Sketchfab can be embedded on a Canvas course page or a WordPress blog. The embedded 3D models are compatible across popular browsers, operating systems, and is desktop and mobile-friendly. Here are some Sketchfab channels offering high-quality content:

eSkeletons provides an interactive environment in which to examine and learn about skeletal anatomy through an osteology database. It also provides relevant glossaries and resources.

MakerBot’s Thingiverse is a design community to explore, create and share 3D printable objects. It is one of the world’s largest 3D printing communities. Thingiverse is an open platform, which means most designs are licensed under Creative Commons license. Creators can choose the type of user license attached to the shared designs.
